I got N500m from Mu’azu not Dasuki - Jim Nwobodo (PDP Chieftain)

Senator Jim Nwobodo

Former Governor of the old Anambra State and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Jim Nwobodo has denied receiving money from the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki. He also denied being part of the PDP chieftains that shared N3.05 billion through the former Minister of State, Bashir Yuguda.
Nwobodo said the N500 million he got for the election was from the former National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Adamu Mu’azu.
He added that the money was disbursed to the five Southeast states through the state chairmen of the campaign committee, adding that he could not have queried his party chairman as to the source of the fund, which was strictly spent on the election as directed by the party.
The former governor denied any personal knowledge or contact with Dasuki and Yuguda.
His words: “I don’t know Sambo Dasuki; I have never met him in person; I have never had any interaction with him. And I didn’t receive money from him. As for Yuguda, the Minister of State, whose name was mentioned, I don’t know him. I think I only met him once and that’s all.
“The party approved N500 million for the Southeast for the campaigns. We have five states and when nominees from the zone met, I was chosen to be the chairman.
“After series of meetings, the committee was invited to the residence of the National Chairman, Dr. Adamu Mu’azu, who handed over money to me for the zone. I invited the chairmen of each of the state campaign committee and we disbursed the money, each state got N100 million.
“It was not possible for us to ascertain where the money came from. We simply received money from our National Chairman and we did not ask for explanations pertaining to the source; I don’t think it is our duty as party members to query our chairman as to the source of the money he was giving us for an election.
“For me, the money was handed over, disbursed and used for the campaign. The money was given to the committee, not me; to the committee by the National Chairman, Mu’azu at his residence.
“She state chairmen and members who received and disbursed the money are alive and they can be contacted. At no time did the NSA hand over any money to me; there is no such thing. I have never met the former NSA; I don’t know him. There is nothing between me and the then NSA; I only worked for the PDP.”

Presidency- Buhari didn't collect $300k,5 Armoured SUVs from Dasuki.

“Our attention has been drawn to reports making the rounds, especially on internet-based media, that President Muhammadu Buhari received $300,000.00 and up to five armoured SUVs from the Office of the National Security Adviser in the aftermath of the attack on his convoy in Kaduna last year.
“We unequivocally deny that President Buhari received $300,000.00 or any monetary compensation whatsoever from the Jonathan Presidency or any of its officials, in the aftermath of that attack, or at any other time since then.

“While it is true that one armoured SUV and one untreated SUV were sent to the President in the aftermath of the attack, the vehicles were in keeping with his entitlements as a former Head of State under the Remuneration of Former Presidents and Heads of State (And other Ancillary Matters) Decree of 1999.
“Section 3, Sub Section 1 of that Decree provides that three vehicles will be provided for former heads of state and replaced every four years.
“There was therefore nothing untoward, illegal or tending to corruption in former Head of State Buhari and Presidential aspirant, as he then was, receiving vehicles, to which he was statutorily entitled , from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“President Buhari had in keeping with his austere, spartan and frugal disposition shunned most of his entitlements as a former Head of State, but was prevailed upon by his supporters to accept the two vehicles for his personal safety in the aftermath of the dastardly attempt to assassinate him.
“It is preposterous to think that the President will allow his acclaimed reputation of honesty and incorruptibility to be tarnished by accepting a questionable monetary compensation from a discredited regime.”

Leicester City vs Chelsea, Final whistle verdict: Prepared but punished!

Jose Mourinho identified problems at both ends of the pitch as the primary reasons for our defeat at Leicester City.

The manager was pleased with the fight his team showed in the final half-hour, but lamented defensive mistakes made for the home side’s goals before that, and then profligacy up front during our best spell of the match late on. Those two factors combined to ensure we left the King Power Stadium empty-handed. Mourinho began at the back…
‘I worked for four days on this match,’ he said. ‘I prepared everything related to the opposition.
‘I identified four movements where they score almost all of their goals. My players got all that information and training in the last three days. From the four types of situation I identified we conceded the first and the second goal. I think they listened and they are good enough, but the mistakes were there.
‘I don’t want to focus only on the two goals we conceded, because in the past four or five matches we were defensively good and we had clean sheets,’ he continued.
‘We also have another problem which is the number of goals our attacking players are scoring, or in this case aren’t scoring. When we make defensive mistakes we are punished because we don’t score enough goals. The team pays for the number of goals our attacking players aren’t scoring.’
There were aspects of our game that satisfied Mourinho
‘The good thing is the spirit - in the last 30 mins they tried, they gave everything they had, they scored one goal, and they could have scored more.
‘That’s the positive thing that makes me leave the dressing room with a feeling that isn’t so bad as the result, because in the last 30 mins they were a team.
‘They accepted the risk and the risk was enormous. If we didn’t play well like we did it could have been a fat result. Nobody was afraid of that. We went for the rescue and we were almost there.
‘They [Leicester] fought with everything, they defended with everything, and the ballboys were amazing too. I say the point about the ballboys because it’s a disgrace for the Premier League, but I want to make it clear I don’t want that story to be in front of a result Leicester deserved.’
Mourinho was asked about the change in formation made at 2-0 down and the introduction of Loic Remy to the attack
‘There was more of a threat especially because the lack of confidence of Diego in front of goal is bringing him to other areas. When he isn’t scoring and he isn’t fresh-minded in front of goal he is leaving the area, his movements are almost all from the centre to the sides, and he is coming deep with the central defender pressing him.
‘He made two great movements as a striker in the last two matches. One was the own goal against Porto and another one was today when normally he has to score.
‘When I saw that situation with him leaving the box, I put Remy on. When you have a second striker you reduce the area between the lines which is very important for us. I put the second man in the box and I took a defender off. When a team like Chelsea plays with a typical 4-4-2 without a number 10 we lose our target in the build-up. Losing 2-0 I tried everything and I kept the number 10 on and I took the defender off.’
Eden Hazard was withdrawn with an injury during the first half having initially tried to play on
‘He made the decision in a few seconds. When he came off he said he couldn’t do it, a couple of seconds later he said he would try, and when he went back on two seconds later he immediately decided to go back off.’
It is not long until the January transfer window but that is far from Mourinho’s mind, with the manager insisting it is up to the current group of players to turn things around starting with the pair of home games coming up
‘I don’t think it is right I go to the board and say these players are not good and we need to spend 50 or 100 or whatever. We have these players and it is with these players we have to go, and the players that are not performing well must feel attacked in their pride, in their self-esteem and they have to do everything to get results in a humble way.
‘I don’t think they can feel they are top players or they are superstars. At the moment they have to be humble, they have to look to the Leicester boys and feel that they are the stars, they are the top players.
‘They have to look to Sunderland and Watford and say: we are at the same level as you are. The players have to put their feet on their ground and be humble. We are where Sunderland are, we are below Watford by 10 points. The next two matches we play at Stamford Bridge we have to look to these opponents in a humble way.’

LINDA IKEJI DENIES COLLECTING N240M FROM DASUKIGATE!!

Wait, a popular female blogger received N240m from Dasukigate?

So, social commentator and activist Kayode Ogundamisi tweeted this today...he didn't mention any names but I am now trending on Twitter. Many assume he's talking about me...and you can't blame them really. He said...popular! I'm somewhat popular! He said female.. I'm female...duh! Lol. He said Lagos...I live in Lagos...in a posh place called Banana Island..lol. #Flipsweave! #Just teasing!

So people are reacting and some actually believe it! That PDP or someone in the party gave me N240m? For what? Advert? This was why I didn't want to get politics advert money in the first place o...and but then some of you advised that I do when I asked here and now see the gbege that I have entered...lol.

But seriously for the record...no party registered or unregistered, no human being dead or alive gave me N240m for anything. The only advert I did for PDP was a page background take-over for former president Jonathan... and they asked for the space after I did a page background take-over for APC's Akinwunmi Ambode. (I'm sure you all saw it). The two parties paid me same amount. I had a politics advert rate which I sent to everyone who wanted to advertise on LIB! And it was a few millions ...which some of you followed to chop inside in the giveaway that April...lol. #Kidding!

Anyway, all these bad belle people looking for ways to bring a woman down...like I always say...you can't! Except you're mightier than God! Whether you like it or not, I'm a hardworking young woman who God chose to bless the work of her hand and is using me to bless others. Get over it! I am here to stay! Not going nowhere! *wink*. Make I go find una more news ojare!
