APC Yahaya Bello receives certificate as Kogi governor-elect.

The newly elected governor of Kogi State,  Alh.  Yahaya Bello was today issued with a certificate of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission at Lokoja.

The ceremony was an elaborate one as political heavyweights were in attendance.

In his opening address,  the Resident Electoral Commissioner in charge of Kogi State,  Alh.  Haliru Pai said all stakeholders teamed up to make the Kogi election a success story.

While presenting the certificate to the Governor-Elect, the representative of INEC National Chairman, Professor Antonia Sibi said INEC will continue to adhere to rules in organizing free, fair and credible poll.

In his remarks, the Governor-Elect, Alh Yahaya Bello said he has come to develop the state and unite its people. He thanked the Kogi electorate for believing in him.
