Rivers State Governor to proceed to Supreme Court following Appeal Court judgment
The Appeal Court Panel presided over Justice Dongban Memsem has ordered the re-run of the Rivers State Governorship Election within 90 days.
However, the legal team of Rivers State Governor has concluded plans to appeal the judgment to the Supreme Court.
Governor Wike had approached the appellate court to set aside the judgment of the tribunal, arguing that the lower court failed to consider the evidence – that a proper election took place in Rivers state on April 11 - tendered before it.
